Manchester Senior Cup

 

MCFC Reserves  5 - 1  Stockport County Reserves

City and Stockport reached agreement to  use this behind closed doors friendly at Carrington as a Manchester Senior Cup game. Watched by manager Mark Hughes Citys young side responded with a resonding victory.

 

Adam Clayton put City ahead on five minutes and Ben Mee doubled the lead on ten with a set piece header, Jack Redshaw cut in from the left to score a third on 28 minutes, Alex Nimley went through the middle to lift one over Stockport keeper, Gerrard on 32 minutes and our reserve player of the month James Poole sealed the victory on 84 minutes before Stockport County got a late consolation through James Vincent.
