Liverpool Done by the Ball Factor

LFC U18s 0 - 3 MCFC U18s

Manchester City were comfortable winners at Liverpool's Kirkby Academy today thanks to a brace by David Ball and an early trademark Ben Mee header. To be fair Liverpool were one of the worst teams that City have played all season and City could have scored a few more.
City took the lead in the opening minutes when the dead ball cross was meat sweetly by Ben Mee's head. City doubled their lead close to the end of the first half with a fine strike from David Ball.
Ball then finished the game off well into the second half with a good header from a Kieran Trippier cross.
This result keeps City at the top of their group league as they head into their week of before returning in two weeks to play Stoke City at home as they prepare for their home FA youth cup tie with Millwall or Hereford in a few weeks time.

City: Mentel(GK), Trippier(Ibrahim), McGivern, Ramsey, Mee(Chantler), Tsiaklis, Weiss, Kay, Ball(Poole), I Daly, McDermott.

Sub: Hartley(GK), Redshaw.

The U16s remained unbeaten as they ran out to a 2-2 result; but that was no thanks to a near cheating display by the officials who contrived to disallow three City goals and fail to award a blatant penalty
