First Win of 2006
MCFC U18s 2 - 0 BWFC U18s
A brace of second half goals from academy hot shot Kelvin Etuhu was enough to see City win their first game of the new year. Another pleasing point for the academy team will be their second clean
sheet in a row after their second half howler performance against Crewe at the start of the year. City's first goal came from a hard low strike from Kelvin that deceived the keeper to go between
himself and the post at an acute angle at the near post. The second came about fifteen minutes later when Kelvin interchanged passes with Ashley Grimes as they ran through from the half way line and
Kelvin put the ball into the far right corner.
City's FA Youth Cup game away to Nottingham Forest has now been arranged for Wednesday 8th February.
City's U16s failed to sparkle but kept their long running unbeaten record as they drew one all in their game.
